Overview
Apartment 175 was a luxury refurbishment of a split level penthouse apartment in the heart of Mayfair. Based on one of the most exclusive locations in the world, Pall Mall Refit were engaged to provide a full refurbishment for the client. We formed part of a team, with the Interior Designers, Structural Engineer, Architect and Building Control team. The client brief was to turn their prime residential apartment into a modern and chic living space. We utilized our specialist skills to provide the best marble, bespoke joinery, full audio visual installation and artisan tradesmen to provide the best carpentry and wall paper hanging for the silk papers selected by the interior designer.

Project Details
1. Bespoke Joinery
2. Marble
The marble we installed in a variety of places across the project. A process of sourcing the slab and the having the client approve the slabs prior to bringing them into the country and starting the preparation and installation processes. The entrance hallway was a real statement piece and the pattern was intricate as well as impactful. This took lots of planning with the designers and our marble team to ensure the exact installation as required. The client was extremely happy with the end result.

3. Audio Visual
The apartment was fitted with the latest Lutron installation. This consisted of many different mood options for the lighting, with pre set scenes, along with the Whole Home solution, the AC, Heating, Lights and Curtains were all connected and controllable via this installation. This made the home very adaptable and modern, with the upmost convenience for the client.
4. Kitchen
this apartment had a separate room for the kitchen at the inception of the project. We worked closely with the building team, the owners, building control and our design team to find a solution that would work, by opening up the kitchen space, but still being compliant with all the required regulations. This added a new dimension to the living space, and our kitchen specialist (Sola Kitchens) produced an extremely classy and elegant solution to this area.
Challenges
The main challenge was logistical. We had to get all materials up to the penthouse, as well as all the site debris out. What was equally challenging was the clients request to keep their Grand Piano insitu whilst the project was completed. This involved us creating a ply timber box around it, to keep it safe and secure, and moveable during different phases of the works. We had to protect a 90 meter run of communal corridor to the trades lift, and operate in this manner to get goods in and out of the site for the works duration. Our management of this area, with neighbours and other residents was extremely important to the success of the project.
Outcome
This project was a great success. The project was delivered on budget and with minimum snags. It was a total transformation from the original penthouse, and the end result was an extremely high end, well crafted apartment, that combined a luxurious but homely feel to it.
